Introduction
The present age is characterized by contradictions in the values, customs, and life styles which Paper subsequently led to many wrong educational and health practices and to a wide spread of disabilities.
Some of these practices which are imposed by Subjucation and poverty dominant in developing communities are connected with malnutrition, disabilities, and mental health.
From this emanated the idea for holding a scientific conference on (Nutrition Disabilities, and Mental Health).
This conference is the first in the Arab region to monitor the new development in the fields of education and special education in particular and health and nutrition with a view to contribute to improving the health of individuals and limit the spread of diseases and disabilities and achieve the desired advancement.
Objectives
The conference aims to promote awareness of the importance of nutrition and its relation with disabilities and mental health, through:
1- Pursuing new developments in nutrition issues that relate to the fields of disability and mental health.
2- Exploring alternatives for preventing and limiting the spread of disabilities.
3- Making use of the Arab and international experiences in the prevention alternatives.
4- Incorporating child food and nutrition issues in all school curricula.
5-Exchanging experiences among experts in different specializations to highlight the importance of early intervention regarding sound nutrition.
6- Displaying methods of nutrition systems used for children with special needs.
7- Displaying methods used in mental and social health care including the mental health of the disabled and their families.
8- Coming up with recommendations that would contribute to promoting nutrition awareness and activate the role of prevention and early intervention in limiting disabilities and enhancing enjoyment of life.

3- Nutrition and mental health.
4- The relation between nutrition institutions and disability specialists.
5- Awareness of nutrition and its role in treating problems associated with disabilities.
6- Models for nutrition of the disabled.
7- Training and qualifying of workers in the prevention disabilities bodies.
8- Arab and international experiences in the field of nutrition, disabilities, and mental health.
9- The mental health of the disabled and their families.
Participation Schedule
1- An abstract of the research proposal not exceeding (250) words should be submitted.
2- Abstracts should be received not later than 20/7/2010.
3- The researcher shall be notified of the initial acceptance of his/ her research within two weeks from the date of receiving the abstract.
4- A printed copy of the research with an electronic copy should be submitted not later than 20/8/2010. The researcher shall be notified of the jurs decision concerning the acceptance of his/ her research within two weeks from the date of receiving the research.
5- Accepted, research Papers shall be published in a special booklet.
Requirements for Research and Working Papers
1. must reflect the conference axes and-themes.
2. must be in compliance with the standards of academic methodology.
3. must not have been previously presented in any conference or published in any scientific Journal.
4. are accepted in either Arabic or English.
